Proven superstars. You buy these, you hold these, and you sleep well at night.
Shohei Ohtani
Dodgers
2018 Topps Chrome Update #HMT1 RC
Why it matters: The most marketable player in baseball history. Two-time MVP, 2025 World Series champion, and centerpiece of the Dodgers dynasty.

Ronald Acuña Jr.
Braves
2018 Topps Chrome Update #HMT25 RC
Why it matters: Former MVP coming back from two rough years. Cards are still depressed — this could be the last window to buy before a full comeback.

Mookie Betts
Dodgers
2014 Topps Chrome #MB-2 RC
Why it matters: Four World Series rings. Hall of Fame trajectory. Projected for a 4.9 WAR bounce-back at current depressed prices.
What to watch: First two weeks of April — if the bat looks right, prices correct quickly.

Why it matters: Struggled in his MLB debut but the raw power is undeniable — Pete Alonso comps. Multiple outlets call him THE breakout candidate for 2026.
What to watch: April batting average. If he's hitting .250+ through the first month, Bowman 1sts double.
Samuel Basallo
Orioles
2023 Bowman Chrome 1st Auto #CPA-SBA
Why it matters: Already signed to an 8-year, $67M deal at age 21. Left-handed power, catcher position premium, stacked Baltimore lineup.
What to watch: Catching playing time vs. DH splits. More time behind the plate = more positional scarcity value.
Chase DeLauter
Guardians
2023 Bowman Chrome 1st Auto #CPA-CDL
Why it matters: All-Star upside with elite hit tool and power profile. Cleveland is quietly building a contender and DeLauter is their missing piece.

Jacob Misiorowski
Brewers
2022 Bowman Chrome 1st Auto #CPA-JMI
Why it matters: 6'7" flamethrower who made the All-Star Game as a rookie. 83 K in 67 IP. Milwaukee develops pitchers better than anyone.

Jackson Merrill
Padres
2021 Bowman Chrome 1st Auto #CPA-JME

The new crop hitting retail shelves. Get in early or chase later at 3x the price.
Roman Anthony
Red Sox
2026 Topps Series 1 #189 RC
Why it matters: THE flagship rookie of the 2026 class. ESPN's best 21-year-old in baseball. Batting leadoff for Boston in a huge media market.
What to watch: April OPS. A .900+ first month and this card goes vertical. Boston fans are rabid collectors.
Konnor Griffin
Pirates
2024 Bowman Chrome 1st Auto #CPA-KGR
Why it matters: #1 prospect in all of baseball. 6'3", 222 lbs — 20 HR/60 SB across three minor league levels at age 19. Projected May debut.

JJ Wetherholt
Cardinals
2024 Bowman Chrome 1st Auto #CPA-JJW
Why it matters: Texas League MVP (.306/.421/.510). Elite hit tool — rarely chases, rarely misses. Expected Opening Day 2B and NL ROY front-runner.
What to watch: Opening Day at-bats. He's MLB-ready. A fast start locks ROY conversations and Bowman 1sts run.
Nolan McLean
Mets
2026 Topps Series 1 #214 RC
Why it matters: "Cow Ohtani" — 2.06 ERA with elite K rate in 8 MLB starts. Big market, big arm. Top pitcher card in the 2026 class.
What to watch: Rotation spot security. If he's a locked-in starter through April, the NL ROY narrative builds fast.
Kevin McGonigle
Tigers
2023 Bowman Chrome 1st Auto #CPA-KMG
Why it matters: #2 overall prospect. Polished lefty hitter with the lowest chase rate among top prospects. Expected to win the Tigers' everyday SS job.
What to watch: Opening Day roster status. If he breaks camp with Detroit, Bowman 1st Autos get repriced immediately.
Bounce-Back Candidates — Buy the Dip
Stars who had down years. Cards are cheap. Upside is massive if they return to form.
Adley Rutschman
Orioles
2022 Topps Chrome #215 RC
Why it matters: 2019 #1 overall pick. Plate discipline still elite. Projected top-5 catcher season with 19 HR. Chrome RC is a steal at current levels.
What to watch: First-half health. If he plays 70+ games before the break, the market corrects hard.
Austin Riley
Braves
2019 Topps Chrome #9 RC
Why it matters: Top-10 position player 2021-23 (16.2 fWAR). Two injury years tanked his prices. Batted-ball data still elite — 91st percentile EV, 92nd barrel rate.

Spencer Strider
Braves
2022 Topps Chrome #544 RC

What to watch: Velocity in his first two starts. Fastball sitting 97+ again = instant reprice.
Michael Harris II
Braves
2022 Topps Chrome Update #USC150 RC
Why it matters: 2022 NL ROY who has declined three straight years. But contact ability and speed are still there. New hitting coaches could be the fix.

Sandy Alcantara
Marlins

Chase Burns
Reds
2026 Topps Series 1 #312 RC
Why it matters: #2 overall pick in 2024. Over a K per inning in the minors. Base RC under $5. If he becomes the next Hunter Greene, this is a 10-bagger.
What to watch: Whether the Reds give him a full rotation spot. Once he's locked in, the "future ace" narrative kicks in.
Colson Montgomery
White Sox
2026 Topps Series 1 #157 RC
Why it matters: 21 HR as a rookie in 2025. Named to MLB Top 100 Players Right Now. Power-hitting SS the hobby loves. Cheap because it's the White Sox.
What to watch: Batting average improvement. Even a jump to .255 with 25+ HR makes this a bargain.
Carson Williams
Rays
2026 Topps Series 1 #25 RC
Why it matters: Great glove, nice pop, cornerstone potential for Tampa Bay. ESPN's 10th-best 22-year-old in baseball. Cheap base RC.

Kyle Teel
White Sox
